International Conference on Biodiversity, April 16-18, 2013, Berlin, Germany

The 2nd International Conference on Biodiversity and the UN Millennium Development Goals is to be held in Berlin from 16 to 18 April 2013 and will focus on the Nexus Biodiversity and Health.

The goal of the forthcoming conference is to discuss the interactions between biodiversity and human health under rapidly changing environmental conditions, to identify research gaps, and to develop novel, innovative approaches on how to manage ecosystems and biodiversity for the benefit of humans and nature.

The 2.5 day conference with plenary sessions and poster presentation will address scientists as well as practitioners. No conference fee will be charged.

The conference is jointly organized by the Leibniz Network on Biodiversity (within the Leibniz Association) and the French Institut Ecologie et Environnement-Centre National de la Recherche Scientifique (InEE-CNRS), and co-financed by the German National Academy of Sciences, Leopoldina.

The conference will include:
